At this point you may be measuring the available space in your extra bedroom or sectioning off an area of your den to serve as your home office. But before you head over to the home office store to start investing in office furniture and manila folders stop and follow this advice. In order to be successful at any home-based business you must feel successful and think as if you are already a success. Success is not an outward display of what you have acquired but and inward sense of yourself. If you feel successful you will be successful, its as simple as that. This is the most important office tool that you can acquire. This is more important than the right desk chair or the best computer monitor. So often people enter into something new with fear. They have already defeated themselves before they ever even get started. With a self-defeatist attitude you will never get your business off of the ground. If you are not 100% certain of what you are doing before you attempt to do it you will never succeed. Life is about taking chances, but it is also about being confident enough with yourself to know that you will make it work. Starting your own home-based business can be scary. You are now entirely responsible for your income. There is no more clocking in and receiving an almost guaranteed paycheck every week. But it is also very freeing. You are now responsible for yourself. No one to tell you when to eat lunch and when to go home or when to take a vacation. These are the obvious benefits but the benefit that most people do not realize is that you can now think for yourself. Most people work for companies they do not even believe in and yet they devote all of their time and energy allowing their job to dominate their lives and thoughts. With a home-based business you are your job, your thoughts are now dominated by something that you believe in, yourself. You are what you think you are. Your perception of yourself and your level of success is exactly what you will achieve. So before you do anything else, take a deep breath, close your eyes, and think of yourself realizing your dreams, they are within reach as long as you believe they are. This is step one in starting your new home-based business and the first step to your new dream life.
